BCAE 2017 / Submissions
The organizing committee of the Bucharest Conference in Applied Ethics is looking for original and novel contributions to the topics announced for each edition. Only valuable academic contributions will be taken into consideration for participation and publication.
To ensure that BCAE hosts only valuable contributions, we have set up a 3 stage process of selection:
1 Abstract submission and evaluation
2 Paper submission and evaluation
3 Registration and participation confirmation
There are no shortcuts to this process and we are making everything to keep it as transparent as possible. Prospective participants should be aware that any case of unethical scientific behaviour will be made public.
1. Abstract Submission and Evaluation
Abstracts represent the most common way of checking if the topic proposed by a prospective participants is in line with the general topic of the BCAE edition. Thus, all those interested in participating into one of the BCAE editions must hand in a 300 words abstract followed by 3 to 5 keywords best describing the author’s main argument.
2. Paper Submission and Evaluation
Final papers should not exceed 20 pages, 1.5 spaced, references included. Papers must be prepared for blind-review: they should contain only the abstract and no element that can lead to author’s identification (name, academic affiliation, acknowledgements). Papers must be proofread before submissions.
Both abstracts and final papers must be submitted as Microsoft Word (version 98+) and PDF documents to firstname.lastname@example.org. All papers must observe the Editorial Guidelines provided herein. Papers that have not been prepared in accordance with BCAE editorial norms will not be taken into consideration.
The official language is English. All abstracts, papers and presentation must be prepared for an English-speaking audience.
3. Registration and Participation Confirmation
As soon as the paper acceptance letter is received, the prospective participants can register
There are a limited number of fee waivers – 50% off the Early Bird Registration (124.5 Euro) – for Central and Eastern European PhD students / NGO members without bursaries if they register by August 1, 2013.
